Available in two models, the ASP-2 and ASP-2e include normal Check and Rate meter operating modes. The ASP-2e includes modes for Integration and Scaler, as well as a second channel for Pulse-Height Analysis (PHA).

The wide (300 - 2,500 V) high voltage supply range permits operation with GM, scintillation and proportional detectors, providing a high degree of flexibility for a wide variety of applications. The RS-232 serial port permits easy interchange-ability of probes, and facilitiates calibration of the instrument with the probe.

The unique display is comprised of a high-contrast analog meter and large character-based LCD in one highly integrated and seamless configuration.

The analog meter delivers trending information while the LCD presents
precise measurement values, response time positions, warnings and additional operational information.

Two display modes are available to suit the user. The Digital Display mode presents a precise value of the count rate or accumulated counts. In this mode an analog meter augments the digital display by giving useful trending information. The second display mode is the Range Multiplier type of indication, where users read the value from the analog scale, then multiply by the scale factor presented on the LCD. In this mode, users familiar
with traditional analog instruments
maintain their conventional monitoring techniques and can also benefit from some of the features of a digital instrument.

  

ASP-2/2E General Purpose Survey Meters

The ASP-2 provides a Check Mode to give users information on several of the operating parameters being used. The ASP-2 and ASP-2e models inform users of the battery level, the probe serial number and model number with which it was calibrated, the high voltage setting, the rate-meter alarm set point, the firmware version, and a display check where all characters of the LCD are activated.

In addition, the ASP-2e presents the integrate alarm set point, scaler count time, and corresponding settings for the PHA channel if selected. The values for alarms and scaler count times may be edited by the user, unless this feature is disabled via the optional PC program.
