The Model 14C Survey Meter is the most commonly used survey meter in nuclear medicine departments. This portable instrument has five counting scales. The first four are connected to an external detector and the fifth scale is connected to an internal detector. The internal detector with its x1000 multiplier range, counts up to 2R/hr and is used for high-range gamma detection. A variety of external detectors are available for the 14C Survey Meter. The Survey Meter features a built-in audio speaker with ON/OFF switch, front-access calibration controls, push-button reset to zero, and a toggle switch to select FAST (4 sec.) or SLOW (22 sec.) response. Two “D” cell flashlight batteries operate the unit. |
